Geospatial for National Development Programes
The developmental activities in India require a new paradigm shift and thought process that support the geo-political presence because of the kind of economic growth anticipated. Geospatial technology is widely used across sectors and has created a good knowledge-base over the years. Many geospatial applications have been developed in many governmental programmes/projects. The symposium is an endeavour to showcase such significant projects by inviting the main stakeholders of the respective project.

The symposium will be focus on:
  • Presentation of successful and ongoing government projects related to GIS like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JN-NURM), Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY), National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), highlighting its strength, progress, benefits and challenges so far
  • Presentations from private sectors highlighting PPP model and its advantages. They will also present a perspective on latest technology and their offerings
