With the growth of population, urbanization increases, which leads to an improper development in any urban area. Impact of urbanization on green cover of Ludhiana district using Remote Sensing and GIS has been analyzed to study the status of land use/land cover this district. The mapping of wasteland of Ludhiana district also analyzed by using Survey of India (SOI) Toposheets and LISS-III data (2006 and 2012) of Ludhiana district through Arc GIS 10 and ERDAS Imagine 9.2 software.
